Yesterday at 5 pm a dear family friend had passed away.
George Byers, commonly and lovingly referred to as "Bubba", died of complications of heart surgery while visiting his ex-wife in California. It is not known what memorial and funerary plans there are at the moment.
He was directly descended from John Alden, who first came to America on the Mayflower.
He is survived by his sister, Carolin Byers, and half-brother, Mark Taylor.
George was a carpenter and artist, and had his work displayed in several art galleries in the Bay Area.
He will be dearly missed.
